THE ENSEMBLE
The first vintage dates from 1737: with GENERATION HARMONIQUE Jean-Philippe Rameau laid the second stone of his great theoretical work.

Co-founded in 2025 by Christophe Robert and Naoko Nakatani, the GENERATION HARMONIQUE ensemble echoes the Rameau-inspired publication.
Drawing its inspiration from the pioneering programming of the Concert Spirituel, a public concert institution founded in 1725, GENERATION HARMONIQUE offers, like a new BALLET OF THE SENSES, concerts combining music, paintings, tastings, dance, theatre and the discovery of instruments.
A promise, nurtured by research, that celebrates in music the transition from flower to fruit

Christophe Robert
Artistic Director & Co-founder

Violinist and musicologist, Christophe Robert is a professor at the Paris Conservatory (CNSMDP).
He is particularly interested in the interpretation on historical instruments, which he practices within the main baroque music ensembles (Arts Florissants-W.Christie, Talens Lyriques-C.Rousset, Musica Antiqua Köln-R.Goebel, Musiciens du Louvre-M.Minkowski...), but also romantic music ensembles (Chambre Philharmonique-E.Krivine, Dresdner Festpielorchester...).
Considering research and transmission as essential in musical interpretation, he taught at the Metz Regional Conservatory before joining the Paris Conservatory (CNSMDP). He brings together all of his teaching, practice, and research experiences in a doctoral thesis at the Brussels Conservatory.

NAOKO NAKATANI

While cultivating her passion for the violin, which led her to play in numerous orchestras in Japan and Europe, Naoko Nakatani held positions in finance, public affairs, and sustainable development within multinational corporations.
Originally from Kyoto, where she began playing the violin, Naoko founded chamber music ensembles during her studies at the University of Tokyo and started giving charity concerts. She furthered her early music studies with Enrico Gatti and Ton Koopman in masterclasses.
She also plays a role in managing musical projects and has notably worked with the Chambre Philharmonique-E. Krivine.
